The Mission Miracle Mile Trilogy +1 concept puts Dana F. Smith in collaboration with other artists and writers in an effort to extend the Mission Miracle Mile Trilogy as an ongoing experimental project. Each collaborator is given a set of the Trilogy books to use as a canvas and add a new element to the original photo collage work.

Participating Artists:

Calixto Robles
Calixto Robles is a San Francisco-based painter, printmaker, and arts instructor born in Oaxaca, Mexico. His work is inspired by the ancestral myths and symbols of the indigenous traditions of Mexico. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. He has been a member of the California Society of Printmakers since 1993, and has taught silk-screen printmaking at the Mission Cultural Center since 1992.

Max Wolf Valerio
Max Wolf Valerio is a poet and writer and the author of The Testosterone Files. Valerio's writing has been published in This Bridge Called My Back (pre-transition under his female former name, Anita Valerio), This Bridge We Call Home, Male Lust: Pleasure, Power, and Transformation, and his early poetry chapbook, Animal Magnetism is in university collections nationwide.

Fred Rinne
San Francisco artist Fred Rinne has created or participated in various sound-producing bands which played in various Mission District venues. These sound projects continue, in conjunction with visual and book arts projects.
